How it Works

Light Therapy, also known as Photobiomodulation (PBM), is a non-invasive technology that uses specific wavelengths of light—red, near-infrared, blue, & green —to penetrate your horse's skin and tissues. When these light photons enter the body, they are absorbed by the cells, specifically by the mitochondria, which are the powerhouses of each cell in the body.

This absorption triggers a cascade of beneficial physiological responses:

1. Increased Cellular Energy (ATP): The light photons stimulate the mitochondria to produce more Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), which is the primary energy source for all cellular functions. With more energy, cells can perform their essential tasks—like repair and regeneration—more efficiently.
